Several things can be said about the Chevrolet Express 2500 series: including the polarizing reactions most buyers have towards their van. The eight-cylinder engine is at the heart of the strong emotions, it is powerful for its class and delivers a large amount of torque.

The restyled Express 2500 LS is equipped with a 6.0-liter eight-cylinder engine that utilizes 16 valves. The Vortec engine is mated to a General Motors four-speed transmission. This has resulted in an increase in horsepower and torque over the 2004 version.
