Overview 2009 Chevrolet HHR LS Panel

In 2009 Chevrolet released the HHR LS Panel to the car-buying market. The HHR came in six configurations: LT, LS, LT Panel, LS Panel, SS, and SS Panel. The LS Panel configuration is powered by the 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine, which makes 23 highway miles and 17 city. The HHR competes in the Wagon market segment, in direct competition with Kia.
Chevrolet HHR Engine Specs
The HHR LS Panel is equipped with a General Motors 2.2 liter four-cylinder engine that utilizes 16 valves. The Ecotec engine is mated to a General Motors 4-speed Transaxle. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for Chevrolet.
Steering control is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The HHR has power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are drum. The car uses coil front springs and coil in the rear.
The fuel system for the 2009 HHR is a SFI design, running on FLEX fuel. The fuel flow is regulated by a electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The storage capacity of the fuel tank is 12 gallons.

The HHR LS Panel received a miles-per-gallon rating of seventeen in-city driving and twenty three when it came to long-distance. Being a flex-powered hybrid car, this was exceptional.
In 2008 and 2009 the HHR LS Panel was availble in the exterior colors of several colors. Additional options were made available by the factory.
We Think...
There are several reasons why the Chevrolet HHR LS Panel sold well in 2009. Mainly the increase in availability and a marked improvement in quality meant the buying public was more apt to choose a Chevrolet, specifically a HHR.

Good article. At first I felt like I needed to refute your review of the Chevrolet HHR, but after further reflection I can see your point of view. Perhaps my personal HHR LS Panel is an abberation. What is everyone else’s experiences?
