In 1999 Ford released the F-250 Lariat to the truck-buying market. The F-250 came in four configurations: XL, XLT, Base, and Lariat. The Lariat configuration is powered by the 5.4-liter eight-cylinder engine, which makes 17 - 18 highway miles and 13 - 14 city. The F-250 competes in the Standard Cab Pickup market segment, in direct competition with Kia.
