There are five trim levels to the Crown Victoria, including Base, LWB, LX, Police Interceptor, and S. The LWB version is one of the more popular options, outselling other configurations. Like in 2001 the popular 4.6 liter has made this a popular choice for sedan buyers nationwide.

2002 Ford Crown Victoria LWB Specs

The restyled Crown Victoria LWB is equipped with a 4.6-liter eight-cylinder engine that utilizes 16 valves. The engine is mated to a Ford four-speed transmission. This has resulted in an increase in horsepower and torque over the 2001 version.

The fuel system for the 2002 Crown Victoria is a SFI system, running on CNG . The fuel is controlled by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design.

The Crown Victoria uses power-assisted brakes, with Non-ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. Steering is handled through a power-steering gear-style configuration. The car uses coil and coil springs front and rear respectively.

The dimensions of the Crown Victoria LWB are 78.20 inches wide by 212.00 inches long. It sits 56.80 inches off the ground. It seats a standard six passengers, with 4 doors. The wheelbase of 114.70 allows for extra leg room for the rear passengers.

The listed retail price in 2002 (MSRP) was $23,150, with a dealer invoice cost of $21,759. This price is on target the industry average price for a four-door Sedan.

The Crown Victoria LWB received a miles-per-gallon rating of 15 - 17 in-city driving and 22 - 25 when it came to highway driving. Being a cng-powered green car, this was within normal parameters.
