The Ford E-250 Base for 2009

A high point in the standard cargo van market is the Ford E-250. In 2009 Ford released an upgraded version of the E-250 with one versions: Base. Sales for the E-250, especially the E-250 Base, were brisk during 2009 and 2010. The improved reliability and the sporty styling were responsible for the sales boost.

Standard equipment in the E-250 for 2008 and 2009 includes the 4.6 liter engine by Ford, weighing in at 8 cylinders and sixteen valves. A 4-speed Automatic Transmission puts the power of the Triton engine to the pavement. This is a long-standing favorite for buyers in the Standard Cargo Van arena.

The fuel system for the 2009 E-250 is a traditional SFI, running on FLEX fuel. The fuel is controlled by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The capacity of the fuel tank is 12 gallons.

The 2008 model began the promise of the Ford E-250. The 2009 expanded on this success and has proven to be a strong seller in most markets. Even with strong competition from other manufacturers Ford hopes that the E-250 Base will continue to be a profitable vehicle.
