Ford E-350

Buyers of the Ford E-350 are aware of the reputation of the van they are purchasing. The E-350 has been one of the premier vehicles of the Ford line for years. It is considered an institution of a van and the 2003 model is no exception. The Ford E-350 falls into the cutaway van for the family category. People who purchase the E-350 have been doing so for the last few generations in a family. It is a constant that only gets better with age.

Performance

The E-350 Base is equipped with a Ford 5.4 liter eight-cylinder engine that utilizes 16 valves. The Triton engine is mated to a Ford 4-speed Transmission. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for Ford.

The fuel system for the 2003 E-350 is a traditional SFI, running on CNG fuel. The fuel is controlled by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The capacity of the fuel tank is 19.00 gallons.

Steering control is handled through a power-steering gear-style configuration. The E-350 has power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. The van uses coil front springs and leaf in the rear.

The original manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) was $27,780 when new, with a dealer invoice cost of $25,412. This price was in line with the industry average price for a 2-door Cutaway Van.
