In 2007 Chevrolet released the Suburban 1500 Z71 to the truck-buying market. The Suburban 1500 came in four configurations: LS, LT, LTZ, and Z71. The Z71 configuration is powered by the 5.3-liter eight-cylinder engine, which makes 21 highway miles and 15 city. The Suburban 1500 competes in the Sport Utility market segment, in direct competition with Kia.

Ford Escape

One of the staples of the Sport Utility segment is the Ford Escape. In the previous model year released a brand new version of the Escape with four versions: Hybrid, Limited, XLS, and XLT. Sales for the Escape, especially the Escape Hybrid, were brisk during 2007 and 2008. The improved vehicle quality and the classic styling were responsible for the sales boost.
