The Silverado 1500 Classic Hybrid is equipped with a General Motors 5.3 liter eight-cylinder engine that utilizes 16 valves. The Vortec engine is mated to a General Motors 4-speed Transmission. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for Chevrolet.

The King Ranch is a member of a series of eight trim levels for the F-150 which include FX4, Lariat, STX, XL, XLT, FX2, Harley-Davidson Edition, and King Ranch. The four-door truck with its rear-wheel drive is positioned to aggressively fill this niche for Ford. There is strong competition from vehicles from Infiniti.
