The 4-door F-150 is especially appealing to wide market segment, making it a perfect truck to help Ford as a brand in general.

The 2009 F-150 is an important vehicle to Ford for the crew cab pickup market segment. The FX4 is a member of a series of seven trim levels for the F-150 which include FX4, King Ranch, Lariat, Platinum, STX, XL, and XLT. The four-door truck with its four-wheel drive is positioned to aggressively fill this niche for Ford. There is strong competition from vehicles from Lexus.
