In 2001 Ford released the F-150 Lariat to the truck-buying market. The F-150 came in six configurations: XLT, Harley-Davidson Edition, Lightning, Lariat, and King Ranch. The Lariat configuration is powered by the 5.4-liter eight-cylinder engine, which makes 19 - 21 highway miles and 15 - 16 city. The F-150 competes in the Standard Cab Pickup market segment, in direct competition with Honda.

Ford has been blessed with many award-winning designs, including the Ford F-150 of 2003. There are six trim levels to the F-150, including Lightning, XLT, King Ranch, Lariat, and Harley-Davidson Edition. The Lariat version is one of the more popular options. Like in 2002 the popular 5.4 liter Triton has made this a popular choice for standard cab pickup buyers across the country.

The Lariat configuration is powered by the 5.4-liter eight-cylinder engine, which makes 23 highway miles and 17 city. The F-150 competes in the Crew Cab Pickup market segment, in direct competition with Honda.
